Dandelion and Dogwood
Daisy Fellowes
Daisy Fellowes
Named after the notorious, socialite of the 1920s and 30s : Daisy Fellowes.
was Daisy. who introduced this brilliant shade of pink to couturier Elsa Shiaparelli when she met up with her whilst wearing her 17.47 carat pink diamond ring. For Elsa the colour of it was love at first sight. She later wrote:
"The colour flashed in front of my eyes. Bright, impossible, impudent, becoming, life giving, like all the lights and the birds and the fish in the world put together.
- A shocking colour, pure and undiluted."
This colour went on to become a signature of Schiaparelli's which then inspired one of our favourite lipsticks- Schiap by Nars.
After seeing a pink whitmoor cardigan on instagram knit up by the beautiful Reshma (hellolavenderdesign) Ami decided we needed our own take on this shocking pink colour and here she is in all her shocking glory.
